Sovereign Christ Church

Our Covenant Statement

In allegiance with and having been baptized into the Lord Jesus Christ, I do joyfully enter into covenant with Sovereign Christ Church to do the following:

• I will faithfully assemble with this congregation for the purpose of worshipping our God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24; Hebrews 10:25).
• I will submit to the ordained leadership of this church (Hebrews 13:7,17).
• I will maintain and promote the unity of the Spirit for the testimony of Christ and the edification of God’s people (John 17:20-23; Ephesians 4:1-13).
• I will contribute to this church’s needs and ministries, as God provides (1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:7).
• I will only marry or give in marriage within the faith of Christ so as not to be unequally covenanted with unbelievers (1 Corinthians 7; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
• I will raise up, in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, those children that God may entrust to my care (Ephesians 6:1-4).
• I will live morally before God and man, opposing sins such as adultery, abortion, and homosexuality (Genesis 9:6; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
